Power: 250 watts RMS driven by four KT88 power tubes.
Preamp: 5 preamp tubes (3x ECC83, 2x ECC82) provide high gain reserves and rich lows.
Channels:
Two separate channels with individual gain and volume controls and shared bass, mid, and treble EQ.
Channel 1:
Perfect for clean tones and slight overdrive. It delivers crystal clear sound with enough headroom to maintain clarity even at higher volumes. The individual bright switch enhances the treble response, making it ideal for rhythm playing and sparkling clean tones. Pushing its gain to the max will result in an edge of breakup, transparent overdrive.
Channel 2:
Tailored for high gain and aggressive distortion. It provides a thick, saturated tone that is perfect for lead playing and heavy riffs. The individual fat switch adds extra low-end punch, making it suitable for drop tunings and modern metal sounds.
Switching Options:
The amplifier features bright and fat switches, which are independently switchable for each channel as well as a tone shift, which pushes bass frequencies even further. All of these are activated/deactivated via push/pull potentiometers (bright on volume, fat on gain and tone shift on bass) for flexible tone shaping.
A remote switch is part of your Titan delivery and will provide Channel selection and Boost on/off switching capabilities.
Integrated Boost:
The tube-driven boost is specifically optimized for the Titan 250, eliminating the need for external boost pedals. This built-in boost ensures perfect integration and superior performance, enhancing your tone without any compatibility issues making external boosts unnecessary as it outrivales their performance. It is switchable via both the front panel or an external remote switch.
Bias Feature:
The easy-access bias adjustment allows for precise control over the power tube bias on the back panel. It enables the use of unmatched individual tubes, saving you from the expense of buying a full matched quartet if one tube fails. Further it saves you time and money as a technician is not needed for tube changes. You can do it yourself as the entire amp manual is printed onto the back panel of the amp.
Attenuator:
Three-stage power attenuator (250W, 50W, 15W) for various applications: live, rehearsals and at home. The attenuator is built-in and an internal soak of voltage, which combines the sound of a roaring tube power amp while not wearing out tubes as with a normal amp plus external attenuation unit.
Construction:
We solder all components directly to the sockets to avoid long cable paths, resulting in a super direct and powerful sound. This meticulous process is extremely time-consuming but significantly enhances the tone and makes maintenance very easy.
To connect guitar or bass cabinets, Neutrik jacks connect via both speakON and regular speaker cables.
All volume pots are audio taper, thereby comparable to a hifi amp with precise adjustment, not your old tube amp which does unforeseen leaps along the control path.
A 115/230V switch on the back panel allows international touring without external devices.
Weight:
The Titan weighs 22kg and has two heavy duty handles on each side, which allow carrying it around without breaking your back.
We recommend using the Titan in combination with at least one 4/12 cab (a half stack).
