Seriously, running this thing into the FX loop of an amp is like having Dying Fetus tones on speed dial, that's how faithful it is to the original amp's distortion channel.

It is, however, very versatile in front of a great pedal platform amp: The VHD pulls off AC/DC crunch just as well as scooped mid 90s Hardcore chunk or Thrash tones Slayer would be proud of.

Meanwhile, bands like High on Fire, Spirit Adrift and Unearthly Trance have sworn by it in the studio as well, so it’s safe to say that when it comes to heavy riff needs, the SNK VHD delivers in spades.
